Every week, investors ask us the same question: where can I find reliable data on AI's economic impact across African markets? The answer, until now, has been: nowhere in one place.
Africa's AI story is being told through anecdotes — a startup here, a government initiative there. What's missing is systematic measurement: how many AI jobs exist across economies, where investment is actually flowing, which sectors are adopting AI and which aren't, and how policy environments compare.
We built a data-first lens on Africa's AI transformation — for the people making decisions who need numbers, not narratives.
That's why we built the AI Africa Impact Dashboard — tracking job market changes, investment flows, and startup activity across 10 African economies using data from ILOSTAT, Partech Africa, Disrupt Africa, the IFC, and the World Bank. We update regularly because the landscape moves fast, and quarterly reports can't keep up.
This is what we believe was missing: a data-first lens on Africa's AI transformation, built for the people making decisions — investors, policymakers, and business leaders who need numbers, not narratives.
